Seven nights. Eight days. Our most adventurous retreat yet.

Leave the noise of everyday life behind and journey deep into New Zealand’s alpine wilderness. Wānaka | 12–19 February 2027.

Hosted by Adventure 365 founder Andrew Papadopoulos and created in collaboration with professional mountain runner and performance coach Liam McKenzie of The McKenzie Method, this is a completely new Adventure 365 experience.

Together, Andrew and Liam bring Adventure 365’s proven approach to challenge, recovery and connection alongside Liam’s unparalleled knowledge of Wānaka, endurance performance and the surrounding mountains.

Adventure and recovery.

Challenge and comfort.

Stillness and exhilaration.

From an exclusive-use luxury lodge to three nights in remote mountain huts, expect chef-prepared meals, hiking, sauna and a private boat experience before we venture into the wilderness.

If you’ve ever wondered what you’re capable of, this is your opportunity to find out.

  • Mountain Huts

Gentle sessions to stretch, breathe, and reconnect. Whether it’s mobility after a hike or a moment to slow down, this is about tuning in—not twisting yourself into a pretzel.

  • Luxuray Accom

From refined luxury to raw wilderness

Our journey begins at Wānaka Haven, an exclusive-use luxury lodge overlooking the Southern Alps.

With eight beautifully appointed bedrooms, seven ensuites, expansive living spaces, fireplace lounges, a heated swimming pool and hot tub, it provides an exceptional setting to recover, connect and prepare for the expedition ahead.

Our first days combine chef-prepared meals, hiking, sauna and a private boat experience with an island picnic. Then, everything changes.

We leave comfort behind and carry what we need into the alpine wilderness, spending three nights moving between remote mountain huts accessible only on foot.

No luxury. No distractions. Just simple meals, shared spaces, immense mountain landscapes and the people beside you.

After emerging from the wilderness, we spend our final night at Novotel Queenstown, followed by a celebratory dinner out together.

Fitness Requirements

This retreat is not for everyone

This expedition requires a strong level of fitness, a willingness to prepare and the ability to hike through demanding alpine terrain on consecutive days while carrying a pack.

You don’t need to be an elite athlete or experienced mountaineer. But you must be ready to embrace discomfort, basic mountain living and several days disconnected from the conveniences of everyday life.

Places will be strictly limited, with participation subject to an application and suitability process. A structured preparation journey will help you prepare before departure.

In return, you’ll experience a side of New Zealand few people ever reach and discover that you’re capable of far more than you realised.
